How We Verify Purohits
At Anugraha Sidhi, we aim to connect families with Purohits who have the appropriate traditional knowledge, experience, and professional approach for the ceremonies they perform.
Before accepting a Purohit for our service network, we review the information they provide about their background, experience, ritual expertise, and service availability.
Our Verification Process
1. Personal Details
We collect and review basic details such as the Purohit’s name, contact information, location, and profile photo.
2. Vedic & Traditional Background
We ask about their Veda, Sutra or Shakha, Sampradayam, Gotram, Guru, and traditional or institutional training, wherever applicable.
3. Ritual Experience
We review the types of poojas, homams, vrathams, samskaras, weddings, and other ceremonies the Purohit is experienced in performing.
4. Qualifications & Training
Where applicable, we may request details or supporting documents related to Vedic education, traditional training, certifications, or institutional learning.
5. Experience & References
We may ask about previous experience and references to better understand the Purohit’s practical experience and areas of expertise.
6. Language & Service Areas
We confirm the languages the Purohit can communicate in and the locations where they are available to provide services.
7. Professional Conduct
We expect Purohits associated with Anugraha Sidhi to communicate respectfully, follow the agreed ceremony requirements, arrive on time, and clearly discuss important arrangements with families.
8. Ceremony-Specific Suitability
Not every Purohit performs every type of ritual. We consider their stated expertise and experience before matching them with a family’s specific ceremony.
Our Approach to Verification
Verification is based on the information and documents provided by the Purohit and the checks Anugraha Sidhi is able to complete. Verification does not mean that every aspect of a Purohit’s traditional background or qualifications is independently certified by Anugraha Sidhi.
We encourage families to discuss the ceremony, tradition, Veda and Sutra requirements, samagri, muhurtham, and other expectations with the Purohit before the ritual.
